With this issue of Working People’s Advocate, we begin a period of “re-start” organized by the Central Committee of the Workers Party in America.
Why a re-start? At the end of April, the National Office entered a crisis that led not only to us abruptly ceasing production of our publications, but also our organizational work. For the most part, the crisis was unavoidable — a combination of economic and personnel problems that made sustaining consistent activity virtually impossible. Rather than try to excuse what happened, the Party membership has decided to just pick things up and start moving again. Hence, a re-start, appropriately dubbed “WPA 2.0” by our members. In coming weeks, we’ll be rolling out new and updated material from the Party, as well as hopefully making some exciting announcements about our future activity. |
