WASHINGTON, Mar. 10 — Contrary to Washington spin, unemployment continues to rise as another “jobless recovery” enriches Wall Street. While “official” unemployment stayed at 9.7 percent, real unemployment rose again to 21.6 percent, with more than 30 states reporting a rise in real jobless numbers. Michigan led the way with nearly one in three unemployed. California, Florida, Georgia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina and D.C. rose to the highest levels since records began in 1976. Meanwhile, inflation is beginning to rise sharply. The beginning of 2010 saw inflation spike to 10 percent. |
