BAGHDAD, Occupied Iraq, Mar. 7 — As we go to press, the Iraqi occupation regime is holding its second elections since the 2003 invasion. The two main electoral coalitions, one headed by current puppet Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and the other by former puppet Prime Minister Iyad al-Lawi, are both tested servants of the U.S.-led occupation. The only difference between them is that al-Lawi is posturing as a defender of a secular future for Iraq while al-Maliki continues to push a “moderate” Islamist country. The final election result is not expected until the end of the month. |
